Tamanu - noun (plural tamanus)
A tree, widely distributed in the Pacific Islands, that from its buds produces a source of resin and bitter oil. Just thought you'd liked to know what they are.... Anyway on with the actual post.
I've been watching way to much Downton Abbey lately and it has evidently been weaving its way into my outfits. This post is completely influenced by the fashions in the 30's yet has a more modern twist and could be called slightly 'risque', seeing my bare skin underneath the lace. But don't you love the vintage vibes that you get from these photos? I'm also in love with the hints of red and greens throughout the stream of photos.
This stretchy pencil skirt was purchased from the Camberwell Markets a few months ago and can be worn in more ways than one, but I was really stuck on what to wear it with. So to try and find something to compliment it, I searched through my 'take to the op shop' bag and stumbled across this gorgeous top! Lets just say I'm glad it's mine and not someone else's - it really completed the outfit.
On another note; Hooray for holidays!! I'm so pumped after a very busy week of school. Let me know in the comments if you're getting up to anything for yours, I'm just staying at home and relaxing, which I believe are the best types of holidays.
Enjoy your break, love
